Dayton-Cincinnati AIAA

Photographs from the 2009 AIAA Dayton-Cincinnati Section tour of the USAF Museum's restoration hangar. This was a FANTASTIC rare tour of the USAF Museum Restoration Hangar, where several new acquisitions were being restored for display in the main museum.

Section Member Ray LeBeau demonstrated flight mechanics with the straw rocket launcher in 5th & 2nd grade classrooms at Glendover Elementary in Lexington KY.

The University of Kentucky Chapter took the the section's straw rocket launcher to the Grant County Public Library for their Cosmic Costume Party. This was also the kickoff of the library's traveling exhibit "Visions of the Universe," celebrating the 400th anniversary of when Galileo first looked to the skies. Children ages 8-14 and their parents attended.

The University of Dayton's AIAA Student Chapter took the section's straw rocket launchers to the Airshow. It was a hit!
